Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi was among the Everton players that departed for a pre-season training camp in Switzerland on Monday.
Twenty-six players made the trip, including 18-year-old Nigerian-born midfielder Francis Okoronkwo.
The Everton squad will spend five days in the Swiss Alps.
The Toffees will face Swiss second-division club Stade Nyonnais in a friendly at the Centre Sportif De Colway Complex on Friday.
They have other friendlies lined up against Wigan Athletic, Bolton Wanderers, Stoke City, and Sporting Lisbon.
Iwobi was named Everton’s best player last season.
He featured in all of the club’s 38 Premier League games.
